Teacher of Science (Chemistry)

The Governors wish to appoint a highly motivated, talented teacher of Science, with a specialism in Chemistry.  The post offers an exciting opportunity for a well qualified teacher to work within a large team of specialist staff with a proven record of success at both GCSE and A level. The post is suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching at A level.
 
The successful candidate will:
 
  • demonstrate outstanding teaching ability across the age and ability range of the school
  • show commitment to building upon the existing success of the subject leading to sustained improvement in student performance
  • have a vision for the teaching and learning of Science in a Comprehensive school
  • have an excellent understanding of approaches to assessment and differentiation in Science

The Governors wish to appoint a highly motivated, talented teacher of English.  The post offers an exciting opportunity for a well qualified teacher to work within a large, successful team of specialist staff with a proven record of excellent results at both GCSE and A level. The post is suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher.  The successful candidate will be able to contribute to teaching at A level. Currently there are 228 students studying English Language, English Literature and Media Studies post 16.
 
The successful candidate will:

Specialist Student Support Mentor
NJC Scale 3/4 : £15,725 - £19,126 pro rata
37 hours per week, term time only
 
The Governors wish to appoint a Specialist Student Support Mentor for April 2010.
 
The successful applicant will contribute to the Inclusion work within school by helping to raise standards of achievement in specified curriculum areas, providing specialist support to individual students and groups of students. Applicants must have experience of working within an educational establishment.
