Teacher of Geography

The Governors seek to appoint a highly motivated teacher of Geography within the Humanities Faculty. Geography is a leading subject within the school’s specialist status for combined Humanities and Music.  The post is suitable for either an NQT or experienced teacher. Applicants must be able to teach throughout KS3, KS4 and Post 16.

Geography is a very popular subject across all Key Stages with a sustained track record of success in both academic achievement and in developing and sharing learning and teaching strategies across the school.

Applicants should be able to:

  • articulate a vision for the teaching and learning of Geography in a Comprehensive School
  • demonstrate outstanding teaching ability.
  • show commitment to building upon the existing success of the department leading to further improvement in student performance.
  • demonstrate excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills.

Teacher of Science (Physics)

The Governors wish to appoint a teacher of Science, with a specialism in Physics.  The post is suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher. A-level teaching is available for a suitable candidate.

 The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom teacher of Science able to teach throughout the age and ability range

  • have a graduate qualification in Physics or a related subject
  • be committed to raising the attainment of all students
  • articulate a vision for the teaching and learning of Science in a Comprehensive School
  • have an excellent understanding of approaches to assessment and differentiation in Science
  • show commitment to building upon the existing success of the department leading to further improvement in student performance

FINANCE ASSISTANT

     APT&C Scale 3 Salary £15,725 to £17,161

 37 hrs per week, full time all year round

Required as soon as possible an enthusiastic and self motivated person who will be part of our finance team.  Duties will include PA to the School Business Director with responsibility for the administration of hiring out school facilities. Working as part of a team you will assist the Finance Officer in the day-to-day financial operations of the school.  Experience of Word, Excel, a minimum of 2 years financial experience and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy under pressure to meet specific deadlines are essential requirements to this post.
