Dave Tryner first began his career with drums and percussion at the age of 9 when he took his first lesson. Two years later he gave his first professional performance. Although a professional multi instrumentalist Dave Tryner has always regarded Drums and Percussion as his passion. Having graduated from the University of Bristol with an honors degree in Music he maintains a busy teaching career covering many disciplines from classroom teaching to clinics. He also maintains a busy career as a perfomer playing for Orchestras, theatre productions, brass bands, television and radio.

Harp

Miss S Vermeulen - [email protected]

Soraya Vermeulen graduated in 2014 from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, London, with a Masters in Music with Distinction following a BMus First Class Honours Degree in harp performance. Soraya was also awarded a high Distinction in an LTCL Diploma for Music Teaching. 

Piano

Carole studied for three years at Trinity College of Music London where she gained G.T.C.L (Hons). Following this, Carole spent one year at ROLLE College Exmouth gaining her Cert. Ed.

Since then Carole has been teaching cello and piano for 30 years, playing in various groups, quartets, orchestras and accompanying pupils on piano for examinations.

Steve started teaching piano at the Minster School in January 2016. 

Following his degree and postgraduate studies in music, Steve Johnson has, for many years, persued a career that has combined session work and teaching. He is an experienced composer, solo recitalist and accompanist who works in London, Nottingham and Manchester.

Voice

Mrs L Bruce - [email protected]

Liz trained as a soprano at Birmingham Conservatoire, where she obtained a First Class Honours degree and won a number of their prizes.

As a performer she has been a guest soloist in many concerts and oratorios, but her passion is theatre - where she has played many leads in opera, operetta and music theatre.

She enjoys teaching a variety of genres, and in addition to her work in schools, is a vocal coach at Stagecoach, West Bridgford.

Yvonne’s early flute studies began at school in Nottingham.  As a student, she was also lucky enough to study with Susan Milan at the Royal College of Music and Trevor Wye at the Royal Northern College of Music.  After completing a music degree at London University, Yvonne continued to live and work in London for a number of years before returning to Nottingham to set up a private teaching practice.  She has taught the flute in numerous schools and has been a flute specialist with Nottingham County Council since 2008.
