Exam Results Information

In 2016 the summer examination results are some of the best ever achieved by our students.

Many have successfully secured university places, including at the top flight of universities, including Cambridge, Durham, Imperial and the London School of Economics. Similarly excellent GCSE results have led to the vast majority of students preparing to continue with their studies in the Sixth Form at the Minster School. Very many congratulations to those who sat the examinations and the very best of luck with the next stage of education or employment. Such success can only be achieved with the considerable support of families and in particular the expertise and hard work of teachers and support staff. Considerable thanks to all the teaching staff who have helped students to do so well.

  • 82% of Year 6 students achieved the national expected standard in Reading, Writing and Mathematics as compared to 53% nationally.
  • 82.5% of Year 11 students achieved 5 or more A* - C grades including English and Mathematics.
  • More than 50% of 'A’ Level students achieved 2 or more A* - B grades.
  • The average grade achieved per 'A’ Level entry in 2016 was a grade B-
