Key Stage 4

Year 11 Results 2016

GCSE Examinations

Headline results in the GCSE examinations have risen from last year and remain impressive, with value added figures suggesting students are doing very well as compared to their prior performance. This year 82.9% of students achieved 5 or more A* - C grades including English and Maths, with 100% of students achieving at least one qualification. 41% of our students achieved the EBacc suite of qualifications.

The new “Attainment 8” measure shows that, on average, students achieve a grade B for each of their GCSE entries, while the Progress 8 measure is estimated to be 0.26, indicating that students are making excellent progress (more than a quarter of a grade better) in a suite of academic subjects including Mathematics, English, Sciences, Languages and Humanities.
