Pastoral staff

At our school we have a team of people working to support the pastoral needs of students. This team will often be your first port of call when discussing issues relating to your child.

Leadership

This team is led by two Progress and Achievement Leaders – Mr Rowson leads Key Stage 4 and Mrs Burles is the leader for Key Stage 3 (inc. year 7 in the absence of Mrs Stanley). Mrs Stanley, currently not available, is the Progress and Achievement Leader for year 7 and transition. Mr Partridge (Assistant Head) is the senior leader with responsibility for the pastoral care of students at the school.

Pastoral Support Assistants (PSA)

Each year group is supported by a full time member of staff. Where you feel a particular issue needs greater support or more immediate attention the PSA for each year group (listed below) can provide this along with others in the team.

Tutors

Alongside this team each child will also be in a tutor group, which will have a member of teaching staff as the tutor. In our school system the tutor remains an important role, and will often be able to provide all the support and guidance a young person needs as they progress through school.
