History Subject Leader Network

BOOK NOW FOR 2017-18

The History Subject Leader Network provides a strong and supportive professional learning community for subject leaders and those involved in delivering History education in secondary schools. It does this by exploring best practice in History education from a national and local perspective and provides a forum in which professionals can collaborate and share ideas and strategies to improve outcomes and experiences for students of History in all schools.

Subject leaders, aspiring subject leaders of History, SLEs and lead teachers of History. Participants in the network receive three face-to-face events each academic year as well as opportunities to work more regularly with colleagues across schools and to experience learning visits in different schools. Each network meeting will include subject-specific features tailored to meet the specific learning and development needs of participants and their schools. Those attending will have access to a learning gateway to share resources and keep up-to-date with developments in History.
