An introduction to Edgewood Primary School

Edgewood Primary and Nursery School is a larger than average primary school situated in Hucknall.  We have a friendly and supportive staff that are experienced in supporting each other and those new to the profession into a career in teaching.  Our children's behaviour was praised and rated as good at our recent Ofsted. We organise the school into strong, supportive teams that work hard, but efficiently, to ensure that we minimise unnecessary tasks for staff while maximising impact.

We have embraced the new curriculum and assessing without levels to develop a system that is integrated into how we work as a school to ensure it has maximum impact on children's progress.  We have a strong team that keeps abreast of the latest developments and, despite recently securing a good judgement from Ofsted, we are still always improving and developing our practice to ensure we do the best possible job for the children at our school.
