Why train with us?

An introduction to Muskham Primary School

The school accommodates 209 pupils with a catchment area covering a large rural area including North Muskham and the surrounding villages of South Muskham, Bathley, Little Carlton and Cromwell. The school enjoys strong community links with the local play group, out of school club and, although not a church school, St Wilfrid’s in North Muskham.

The ethos of the school is centred upon the motto “Wisdom and Caring”. This motto epitomises the entire staffs’ genuine commitment to coupling high academic expectation and achievement with a whole-team dedication to the children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Our children have remarkably high potential and respond well to the wide variety of learning opportunities presented to them. Their families rightly hold high aspirations for their development and achievement and are keen to be involved in their children’s learning. The role of each class teacher is vital in order to successfully achieve the shared aims of the school community.

We pride ourselves on being proactive and effectively utilising the latest developments in teaching and learning. We share our own expertise and harness those of others within the local professional community, working closely with the partnerships that we have forged with the Tuxford Collaboration; the Minster Teaching School Alliance and Together for Newark.
