All staff, members of the governing Body and representatives of Cathedral Chapter gathered to welcome our new Year 7 students and new members of staff. Representatives of our new Student leaders (Year 11 House Captains and 6^th Form Head Team) were formally commissioned and Year 7 students received a ‘welcome goody bag’ containing a school prayer book, Gideons New Testament and Psalms, school pen and sweets! We were treated to singing from Year 7 as well as our choristers. Mr Parris gave a marvellous address about the history of the school and some of the people who had sat in the pews before us. It was a really lovely way to begin the year and to dedicate our year ahead to God in prayerful reflection.
