This event will take place between 9:00am and 5:00pm on 21/06/2018.
The Year 7 programme of study includes the study of natural landscapes and human land use, particularly focusing on natural processes. To support this work a fieldwork activity is planned as part of the course. The trip to Dovedale, which includes your son/daughter, will take place on Thursday 21st June 2018 for Clumber/Rufford teaching groups and Friday 22nd June 2018 for Thoresby/Welbeck teaching groups. The departure will be from the school at 9.00am and the return time will be approximately 5.00pm. As the return time is outside the normal school day parents and carers will need to arrange alternative transportation. Students are not expected to wear school uniform although sensible outdoor wear and footwear will be necessary. A waterproof coat or jacket may be required and a packed lunch. A bottled drink would be advisable to keep hydrated and a small amount of money to buy a drink/refreshments at the end of the trip. Disciplinary arrangements, which operate in school, will be applicable on this activity. Transport will be provided by Travel Wright to Dovedale, where students will walk from one location to another accompanied by a member of staff.
