Here at the Minster school we have a House system which consists of four Houses:  Clumber, Rufford, Thoresby and Welbeck. Each house consists of 12 tutor groups, seven of which are key stage three and five tutor groups which are key stage four.

Students form allegiance to their House, starting in Year 7 with a transition trip to Walesby outdoor pursuits centre. Each year House charities are elected by our students and fund raising activities take place in order to raise money for their chosen charities.

House activities run throughout the year to allow students to actively compete in a wide range of competitions from Sports through to the Arts. House celebration assemblies recognise our student’s achievements every half term, through the accumulation of WORKS achievement points and House points accrued by participating in or winning inter-house  competitions. At the end of every academic year we celebrate our student’s achievements either with a sports day or carnival event and the winning house is announced.
