About the course
School Direct is a great way to train to teach while working as a full-time member of staff in a school. You will be based in your host school throughout the year, but will also undertake a 6-week placement at another school in the Spring Term to offer a contrasting experience.
Your training will be delivered in partnership with Nottingham Trent University, with you spending around 1 day per week in the Autumn Term and some additional days in the Spring and Summer Terms studying at their Clifton Campus. In addition, you will be part of our large group of trainees across the Alliance who attend teaching and learning conferences each term.
You will be supported by:
- A trained mentor at your school
- A specialist tutor from your university
- Minster Teaching School Alliance Staff
