The Minster Teaching School Alliance offers a wide range of support to schools utilising the expertise and outstanding practice of its members.   Along with support detailed below we are able to provide bespoke support that responds to the needs of your school.  To discuss any of these options please contact Dave Boothroyd, Director of Teaching School d.boothroyd@minster.notts.sch.uk  01636 817 344.

Deployments can be used to:

  • Develop the capacity of middle or senior leaders
  • Provide INSET and professional learning
  • Review the effectiveness of a department or phase
  • Develop the curriculum provision
  • Moderate assessment
  • Mentor and coach staff
  • Improve the quality of teaching and learning

The MTSA has designated a range of system leaders who are available to support school improvement at all levels. The length and nature of deployments varies according to need.

National Leaders of Education (NLE) 

National Leaders of Education (NLE)

NLEs are leaders with extensive experience of supporting improvement across larger groups of schools. NLEs can be deployed to support other leaders in a variety of ways. 

Cost: £550 per day

Local Leaders of Education (LLE) 

Local Leaders of Education (LLE)

LLEs are Head Teachers with experience of supporting other Head Teachers in school improvement. 

LLEs can be deployed to ensure improved pupil outcomes, effective leadership and management and other whole-school priorities, as well as mentoring new Head Teachers.

Cost: £450 per day

Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE) and MTSA Leaders of Education (MLEs) 

Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE) and MTSA Leaders of Education (MLEs)

SLEs are outstanding senior or middle leaders with experience of supporting improvement in other schools. MLEs include outstanding classroom practitioners.
